Toyota is World’s Biggest Car Seller.. Again
January 21, 2013
Toyota has become the world’s biggest car manufacture once again after it lost the position to the American car manufacturer General Motors. This followed a sales slump after the Tsunami in Japan in 2011. In the last year (2012), the Japanese car maker managed to sell 9. 7 million cars across the globe. However in the same time period, American manufacturer General Motors sold about 9.29 million units. Toyota won the title in 2008 from GM Motors and lost it in 2011. Although, 2012 was a good year for both the companies but the Toyota saw a bigger increase in sales as things returned to normal after the Japanese natural disaster. The latest model of the America’s favourite car Toyota Camry has also helped the Japanese car giant gain the title back. To retain its position as top seller, Toyota is expected to roll out a new model of Corolla this year.
