Toyota Emina Couldn’t Pull it Off
January 4, 2013
Toyota Emina is also known as Toyota Estima and Toyota Estmia Emina, whereas in some regions it is also marketed as Toyota Pervia. Back in 2006, its third generation showed up with a Hybrid Synergy Drive gearbox. Other quality features were track mounted reclining seats, power folding split seats in third row and automatic back-in parking and parallel parking system. It was doing OK, but then in 2009 it received a facelift. A 3.5-litre V6 Toyota Emina engine for sale rocked the market. Whereas a 2.4-litre was used engine for Toyota Emina and did not gain the popularity due to insufficient torque. Toyota ended the sales of its model, Toyota Emina (Toyota Previa) from European market because they realised that the European market has a trend of luxurious four wheel drive MPVs in minivan segment. The profit margins are healthier and something different is requisite to be done. So, since 2009, much of its places is taken by Toyota Verso which is a compact MPV.
