Toyota Colorado Engine Is A Tornado
January 7, 2013
Japanese auto maker Toyota introduced Land Cruiser Prado in 1984, it was offered with soft top and hard top options. But in 1996 the Prado replaced discontinued 4Runner and named Land Cruiser Colorado. The motive behind this name change was to distinguish it from Land Cruiser in larger size which was already on sale as Land Cruiser Amazon. The engines for Toyota Colorado are available in petrol and diesel versions. Toyota Colorado engines for sale are a 2.7-litre 4-cylinder petrol, a 3.4-litre V6 petrol and a 3.0-litre turbo diesel engine. The 3.4-litre engine was upgraded to a 4.0-litre Toyota Colorado engine, and it used an automatic gearbox for Toyota Colorado. Diesel engine for Toyota Colorado is a turbo with 129 hp and there is a 5.0-litre natural aspirated which produces 94 hp. To meet Euro IV emissions, Toyota introduced a D-4D diesel engine delivering 170 hp. To meet the requirement of this new engine, a five speed manual gearbox for Toyota Colorado was installed. It also have received several safety upgrades and acclaimed 3 performance awards. The Colorado name was dropped in 2003 and the range was once again known as only the Land Cruiser.
